Places in need of TLC
With high temperatures - both air and water - putting a damper on trout fishing, CVTU is taking aim at a little streamside cleanup. A meet-up to clean-up is planned for August 16th at the Lamoille River access in Milton. At the same time, conversation turned to other locations that might need a little tender loving care, places where unthinking people have left bottles, cans, night crawler tubs, and heaven-knows-what beside the water. Often the worst are in public boat ramps and parks, areas where older fishers and folks with young anglers rely on easy access. If you've been to such a place recently, hit "Comment" and tell us about it. Hopefully we can call attention to it and maybe get some volunteers together.

Sorry I missed this cleanup day.
I just fished a very popular section of the Winooski and was disgusted by the lack of respect some people have for this resource. To make things worse, the walk in point is clearly marked as part of the Duxbury Land Trust. Fortunately there was a plastic bag among the trash that I filled with the non-biodegradable junk.
