State of Fishing Recently

There are a few benefits of the lower water levels lately. One is it is easier to find where the fish are hanging. The other is the really cold water (56 degrees last Friday) in the Little River can have a positive impact on the Winooski temps downstream. My last two outings one on the Little River and one on the Winooski both saw trifectas of brook, brown and rainbow in the Little River and Brown, rainbow and salmon on the Winooski.

Get out there!

Thanks for the tip, Chuck! I assumed the water temp on the Winooski was close to 70 degrees

CVTU works to ensure that robust populations of native and wild coldwater fish continue to thrive throughout Northwest and Central Vermont. In doing so, we will maintain healthy fisheries for the enjoyment of future generations.
