The nights are getting a bit cooler and days shorter, so water is cooling down.
A recent trip to the Winooski below Bolton Dam saw temps still a bit warm. 68F at 10:00AM, 67F below mouth of Pineo Brook. It was fun to see ISO’s coming off the riffles,
The Little River was 62F and flows were back up from a low of 24cfs just last week to 55 cfs. The trout were keyed in on size 20 flying ants. If you have some of those give them a try. I don’t so I had to settle for a size 16 Adam’s parachute which fooled a few little browns and rainbows. Fun.
